Go Warriors!

I've been working on this one for a couple of days, but mostly because my computer is just being sooooo slow! But it is done, and it looks great!

As in the last post, the kit I used was the Game On! kit by Penny Springmann over at Sweet Shoppe Designs. I also used Misty Cato's Date Bits 13. I love her dates--they are awesome! I also used a template by Andrea Gold - Template #238

It's Football Time Again

Well, today my daughter turns 20. And I'm trying to get some scrapping done, but my computer is running really slow. I did get this one done (yep, it's football time again!). This year Micah is playing football, so he is actually in the uniform.  :)

I used the Game On! kit by Penny Springmann over at Sweet Shoppe Designs. I use this kit all the time--it is one of my favorites. I also used a Cyndi Price template called "The Rookie." I don't remember where I picked this up, by Cyndi designs for Scrap Matters, so that may be where I got it.

As you can see, I love templates. I love the versatility of them, and the fact that I can make them look however I want. They are a starting point for me, and since my time is so limited, I need all the extra help I can get. :)

Buy Me Some Peanuts...

It's been kinda busy with baseball taking up our lives here.  My husband has been an "official" coach for the last 2 years in Little League, although he has helped coach every year before.

With his official coaching duties, he pulled me in--first by scoring (whoa--scoring is really intimidating when you don't know what you are doing! I'm an old hand now, though), and then by scrapbooking team pictures.

Here is the pic the boys got last year:

Devil Rays

This year, again, my husband requested that I do a layout for the boys. He wanted action pictures, though. I went to the park during one of their practices to get the action pictures. The pic on this layout happens to be a recreation of a double play in one of the games. The shortstop grabbed the ball, ran to 2nd base and then threw the ball to first--getting out 2 runners in the process. The pic is of the shortstop in the air just after his run to 2nd base:

Sun Devils

And finally, based on the layout I did last year--one of the other teams requested that I do their pictures this year. Apparently I need to start charging. :)  This last layout is a cross between the Devil Rays and the Sun Devils layouts.

Grilled Fish Taco Recipe Card

Whew...I'm having fun with the recipe cards--although I am not too sure about the color scheme of this one. But I like the blue and green--kinda goes with the Fish Tacos.

Papers are from Anna Aspnes--Something Springy (from here). Template is a recipe template from Digitreats, as is the metal tag. Thanks!

My PicTales

I've been looking for quality places to print my layouts, at good prices. Up until now the best price I've found has been a toss up between Polka Dot Potato and Scrapbooks to Share.

That was until now.

I just ordered a bunch of 12x12 layouts ($.99/each) and 8x8 layouts ($.50/each) from My Pic Tales. I've read nothing but good things about them, and so I decided to take the plunge and order some pages done.

Might as well get those layouts into scrapbooks, right?

I will let you know what I think in a future review!

Sticky Roast Chicken

I know. It seems like a weird title for a scrapbook blog. But, well, it's cuz I scrapped the recipe. This has become a favorite, not only in my house, but in the households of all my dinner swap pals as well.

Sticky Roast Chicken

This awesome recipe card template came from Canay's Corner. The font is 2Peas Flea Market. The background paper is by L Grier from the Forget Collection. The graph paper is from the Dirty Lovely Love Me Collection, but for the life of me I don't know who designed it. Not the tab either.

Sigh.

I obviously need to come up with a different way to organize my stash.

The recipe came from The Everything Meals For A Month Cookbook. And believe you me, it's a keeper.

Now, if I just felt better...

Oh, interesting people...

Yep--I am still working on interesting people layouts. These are layouts for Micah and Steven's books--so it is only fitting that there is a layout of each of them for each of them. There will be more, as well. I am loving the quotes! Bethany is the best...I can always find what I am looking for there!

I was playing around with overlays--this one is from Gunhild Storheide. She has some awesome stuff over on her blog--check it out!  The papers are all from Carrie Stephens--part of her Spontaneous Delight collection. I don't know who made the bracket. :(
